Job Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced Quality Systems Manager to lead the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of manufacturing quality tools and systems.

This role will serve as the organisation's quality-tools centre of expertise, with particular responsibility for FMEA, Control Plans, Statistical Process Control, Design of Experiments, and Measurement System Analysis. The manager will also lead the transition from the existing quality system to a new system aligned with current AIAG-VDA standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of four Quality Engineers and four administrative staff.
  • Develop strategies for implementing and improving quality tools across manufacturing operations.
  • Act as the organisation's subject-matter expert for FMEA and Control Plan systems.
  • Lead or coordinate FMEA activities across responsible manufacturing areas.
  • Guide engineers and cross-functional teams on FMEA methodology, Control Plans, and process-control requirements.
  • Lead the transition from the existing FMEA and quality-control system to a new system.
  • Maintain and continuously improve FMEA, Control Plan, SPC, DOE, and MSA systems.
  • Manage Statistical Process Control activities across manufacturing operations.
  • Use production data and statistical analysis to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Lead manufacturing quality and process-control improvement initiatives.
  • Support problem-solving and corrective-action activities using structured quality methodologies.
  • Prepare routine quality reports, performance analyses, and management updates.
  • Support customer audits relating to FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, DOE, and MSA.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing, engineering, customer quality, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Develop team capabilities and ensure the consistent application of quality tools and standards.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 8–10 years of experience in manufacturing quality, quality systems, process control, or a related function.
  • Proven management experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams and developing technical capabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of quality-management systems and manufacturing quality processes.
  • Hands-on experience leading or coordinating FMEA activities.
  • Strong knowledge of FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, DOE, MSA, 8D problem solving, and Five Whys analysis.
  • Experience using manufacturing data and statistical-analysis software such as JMP or Minitab.
  • Experience in semiconductor IC packaging or PCBA manufacturing is strongly preferred.
  • Candidates with experience limited to PCB manufacturing may not have the required process background.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good written and spoken English.
  • Thai-language proficiency is essential. Non-Thai candidates must be able to communicate effectively in Thai.

Preferred Certifications

  • AIAG-VDA FMEA First Edition certification.
  • Relevant AIAG or EDA certification.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certification.
